She's been knittin' up a storm, and loves the color combo of the miniskein set that she picked, Georgiana! She described her set as being like "an adult rainbow!" Can we let you in on a secret? We're really, really big fans of knitwear designer, Joji Locatelli. Huge. Like, we'd-give-up-chocolate-for-life-if-we-had-a-chance-to-hang-out-with-her huge. Okay, okay, that might not be such a secret, we did partner with her for our 2018 Craftvent Calendar knit design after all, but we've admired Joji's work from afar for years!

When it came time to find a designer for this year's Craftvent Calendar project, Joji was at the top of our 'dream' list. You know, the kind of list that you make, full of goals you're not sure are attainable? (Yep, we make those kinds of lists too!) We reached for the stars and were over the moon, when Joji agreed to partner with us! And, as they say, the rest is history!

Joji was tasked with no small feat - combine 5 different yarn brands into one cohesive project. Not only did she meet our expectations, she surpassed our wildest dreams! The wrap that Joji created is simply a stunning work of art. There's no other way to describe it! Draped fabrics, simple lines, and lots of details - Joji's style is the epitome of striking a balance between classic and fun!

Mindy, our HR guru and an essential part of the JBW family, is a 2 year breast cancer survivor. (Watch this video to learn more about Mindy's journey!) Through her experience, we've learned a lot - Mindy was our wake-up call, and we're now committed to helping raise awareness! Last year, we released the Mindy Hat with $5 from every sale being donated to breast cancer resources. Together, with you, our wonderful knitting friends, we raised over $5000.00!

We'd only expect 4 hours of booth time, and then we'd cut you loose to go explore the floor or take some classes! (We'd send you off with a $50 store credit you could use on the website, OR in the booth that day, too!)

A few months ago, we asked for help on behalf of one of our sweet, local customers, Ralyne! Ralyne is knitting socks for the Eddy House (local to Reno!), and set a goal of collecting 60 pairs of socks to donate by the time chilly fall and winter weather hit our area. The Eddy House works with homeless and at-risk youth to help develop the life skills necessary for independent living.- helping local youth, ages 12-24, with care and comfort services.

To date, we've collected over 25 pairs of socks from you, our wonderful friends in fiber! Thank you so much for your kind generosity! We are still collecting socks for Ralyne and the Eddy House, so if you have some extra sock yarn in your stash, we'd love if you'd consider knitting and donating a pair of socks!
