A member of the World Fair Trade Organization and founded in 1968, Manos del Uruguay's focus has always been on the women of rural Uruguay, providing them with not only jobs, but also independence. Wool, knitting, and crochet are more popular than ever! In fact, our beloved hobby is so popular that wool prices reached an all-time high this fall (which, according to my friends in the industry, means the farmers are making more - yay!). For reference, the cost of wool has increased > 250% in the past 10 years. That said, I'm certainly NOT an economist and I don't claim to understand all of the crazy details of trading prices, but I do know that these increased wool prices significantly affect the brands that we carry, particularly those brands that are small & family owned like our own! As such, our friends at Madelinetosh have increased their prices 3%-15%, depending on the yarn. (For example, ASAP will be $.50 more - Tosh Merino, $3.50 more). The final season of Game of Thrones is almost here, and we couldn't be more excited! Finally, we will find out who (or what?!) will claim the Iron Throne, and in honor of what will surely be an epic final battle, we have decided to revive the past Lorna's Laces Limited Edition colors!

While the characters on the show might be a little polarizing, the gorgeous Lorna's Laces colors certainly are not!
