Jimmy Chats: Norah x Laura
It is always a treat to get together with old friends and catch up! As we continue to celebrate 20 years, we've been catching up with the friends who we've connected with along the way! Recently, our CEO, Laura, caught up with her friend Norah Gaughan, author and editor in chiefof Vogue Knitting! In this Zoom interview, they chatted about our 20th birthday, Reno Rafter 7, and so much more!
|
|
Laura and Norah also reminisced about their favorite designs over the years. Some knit trends come and go, but some designs turn into classic pieces!

Laura and Norah also reminisced about their favorite designs over the years. Some knit trends come and go, but some designs turn into classic pieces!
Looking back over the years, one of the most popular patterns we've featured was Norah's iconic Beatnik pullover! Published in 2010, this stunning sweater pattern remains in almost 5,000 Ravelry queues. As part of our birthday celebration, we decided to re-knit this beautiful cabled fisherman sweater we all adored years ago!
|
Knit using the recycled tweedy fibers of Berroco Remix, this sweater is ultimately cozy, despite being completely wool-free! Also, We also have an unofficial Beatnik KAL happening for the next few months!

Project On Our Needles!
Amy's Tranquility Cowl
There are very few things that are more relaxing than spending an afternoon at Lake Tahoe taking in the crystal blue waters. Our Bean, Amy, took inspiration from the scenic views of the lake and the tranquil ripples of light that dance across the surface and designed this stunning cowl. Featuring two skeins of Tosh Merino Light in the colors Pebble and Tranquil Tahoe, this cowl pattern reminds us of peaceful days on those beautiful waters.
