Another year has passed and for the month of December we just couldn't resist creating the perfect bookend to 2014's Lorna's Limited Edition colors with another inspired by the one and only Downton Abbey. Edith's Secret pays homage to the much forgotten middle sister (poor Edith!) on this ever-popular BBC drama. If you saw last season, you'll know that Edith has a pretty big secret she is keeping from the family, and surely you are dying to know what will happen with her this year! We are too, which is why we asked Kristen (our head Downton Abbey enthusiast) to create this color of various shades of rose, pinks, and cranberry with a splash of deep purple and taupe. Of course we also couldn't resist planning yet another fantastic Mystery Knit-a-Long to go along with this stunning color (see below for all of the details!) What better way to kick off Season 5 of this epic period drama than with yarn!?!?!

For the third year in a row, Kristen has cooked up a seriously stunning design - this year, it's a shawl using two colors of Lorna's Laces Solemate. One skein is Edith's Secret (of course) paired with your choice of complementary colors: Buckingham Fountain (Kristen's pick), Old Rose, Manzanita, Grand Street Ink, or Farwell. The MKAL will begin on Sunday, January 4th and will run for 7 weeks during Season 5 of Downton Abbey. |
