Shawl We Begin A New KAL?
Have you finally caught up with your winter queue and are on the hunt for projects perfect for spring?? Our friends at Malabrigo always seem to be one step ahead of us and have picked out the most stunning two-toned shawl for their current Knit-A-Long!
For their first KAL of 2023, Malabrigo features a design by Takako Takiguchi that was submitted during an open call for designers last year. The Long Journey Shawl is knit using two skeins of squishy and soft fingering weight yarn, Mechita, to show off lovely cable stitchwork and a unique shape!
To get you ready to jump into this pattern, we've put together some colorways recommended by the designer and our Beans in our kits! However, we know one of the best parts about working with Malabrigo is all of their rich kettle-dyed colorways to choose from so you can make a shawl that is exclusive to you, we recommend throwing the colors of Mechita that are calling to you into Jimmy's Sketchbook to build your own shawl!
This KAL runs through the month of March! Make sure to share your project progress photos on Instagram, Facebook, and Ravelry using the hashtag #malabrigoKAL for a chance to win weekly prizes!

What feelings does the season of spring bring you? Hope... new beginnings... vibrance? For March's Hue of the Moment, the color experts of Madelinetosh took our affections for this time of year and turned them into the gorgeously green Sans Regret!
Meaning without regret in French, Sans Regret is about not only embracing the highs and lows of life but even the days inbetween that may not feel as significant.
The hues twisted up in each hank represent that transitional period we are in now of gray and cloudy days to the bright and sunny ones ahead!
In other Madelinetosh news... did you catch us at Stitches West last weekend?! The MadTosh Mobile braved the snow, packed to the brim with hand-dyed yarn, and made its way over to Sacramento for a full event filled with fiber and friendly faces!
If you didn't have a chance to make it, we've got a special treat for you! You can now shop our exclusive Stitches West color Camellia City!
Since early in Sacramento's history, camellia flowers have been a trademark to the city. To celebrate the host city of one of our favorite yarny events, Team Tosh dyed beautiful hanks that encapsulates the essence of California's capital!

A comfy and slouchy cardi perfect for snuggling up in while you knit! When our Bean Allison first saw Madelinetosh's exclusive color for Stitches West, Camellia City, she knew she would have to find an absolutely stunning pattern to show off these skeins and we think the Creature Comforts Cardi was the right choice! This cardigan shows off the brilliant greens, yellows, and purples of this colorway with a gorgeous lace and cable pattern.
