It's crazy how quickly the months have gone and we can't really believe we're looking toward the new year already! We're beyond stoked for next year because we're turning 20 (can you believe it?!)!! We have SO many fun things in the works and we really can't wait to share them with you all.

This past year was filled with so many memorable events - Britney Spears is officially FREE from her conservatorship, we found out Michelle Obama is a fellow knitter, the Friends reunion, the container ship stuck in the Suez Canal, the 2020 Olympics held in 2021?! There were numerous things that happened this year, it's hard to keep track. But we DID keep track of some of our best-selling kits and products! Let's dive right in!

The Urth Beaubourg Shawl Kit is an absolute beauty! Designed by Julie Dubreux, this large rectangular wrap is inspired by Beauborg, a museum of contemporary art in Paris! It features two color brioche in the beautiful shades of Uneek Worsted from Urth. Slipped stitches against a background of garter stitch represent the colorful pipes that run across the facade of Beaubourg. It's no wonder that this kit was a best seller for BOTH 2020 AND 2021!!

Our Craftvent Calendar Kit is one of our most popular kits we create in-house each year! This year we had two designer greats create our knit and crochet shawls respectively - Ambah O'Brien and Jane Crowfoot! Our bean, Amy Gunderson, is the creative mastermind behind the cutest set of mitts! Y'all loved those mitts so much they sold out so quick! But we still have kits left for the knit Festive Wrap in Ribbon Candy pink, the crochet Tidings Wrap in Buttermint or Ribbon Candy.

Bold and big, the Blue Sky Gresham Wrap is a show-stopper! This is a fun take on a modern sampler and a great project for adventurous beginners and beyond! The color combos are so fun - you can choose 7 vivid contrast colors along with a main neutral color! Once you cast on, you won't want to put this knit down!

Alright, you must know we're big fans of Madelinetosh and Joji Locatelli around here! So when these two came together on the Madelinetosh Frank Shawl, we couldn't help but fall in love! Made up in Tosh Merino Light, it's constructed as 3 triangular sections and then joined together for an interesting, geometric shape! The palette of golds and grays Joji picked make for a vintage vibe we're mad for (sorry we had to do it!!).

Oh baby these blankets!! The 2021 Malabrigo Blanket Club crochet and knit blankets were serious stunners and one of our best selling kits in 2021! Jenise Hope (aka Feminine by Design) designed the knit version while Shelley Husband (aka spincushions) created the crochet version! Both of these blankets were graphic, bold, and beautiful! This popular kit is back for 2022, and we must say we're also pretty in love with Jimmy's 2022 Blanket Club made up in Urth Yarns!

Inspired by the trendy and artsy Midtown area in Reno, the Madelinetosh Midtown Haunt wrap uses Madelinetosh's newest base, Tosh Wool + Cotton! Our bean, Amy Gunderson is the visionary behind this design, the colorwork is done with the mosaic technique and makes the most of the muted, marled effect of Tosh's latest base.

The classic and beloved della Q Maker's Train Case is back and better than ever! This was our must-have fall knit!! Created in Cascade Yarns 220 and designed by Cowl And Owl, the Cascade Retro Cables Scarf's got LOADS of lush texture and cables! It begins and ends with crisp twisted rib and is the ultimate cowl for the season! It's a no brainer why you all fell head over cables for this kit in 2021!

Alright y'all, we're not supposed to play favorites but we have to admit, we're obsessed with the della Q - Maker's Mini Messenger!! A modern spin on a classic design, this chic bag borrows functionality and versatility from sling backpacks but is downsized for smaller, more portable projects! One of the best features?! It's water-repellant! The beauty of this design is you can wear it however you want to fit your own personal style!!

Retail Reopens!

After a month-long closure during our big move, we're beyond excited to share that our shop, now located in South Reno, has officially reopened (and to rave reviews, no less!).

Reno and Tahoe locals and visitors alike can shop all 5+ rooms in our showroom-like environment! You can see, touch, and squish yarns like Malabrigo, Madelinetosh, Scheepjes, Berroco, Rowan, and more! We also have a section dedicated to our new della Q bags and THREE old mailbox units filled with accessories, needles, and crochet hooks.

Stefanie's Perseids Cardigan in Shibui

Our Bean, Stefanie is pretty incredible...she's not only wearing the Lounging Top that a handful of us created last year but she's also got on her new Perseids Cardigan in Shibui Knits Haven - talk about a perfect pair! The allover eyelet design, featured in Heidi Kirrmaier's cardi pattern, was inspired by a clear, starry night when the Perseids meteor showers are most visible. We're in love with the simple and clean but detailed look it creates and love even more that Stefanie decided to share her FO with us! You did a great job, Stef!!
