The new della Q Maker's Bags, lovingly called The Lotus Collection, use a handcrafted, waxed canvas approach to classic styles. With makers in mind, each bag was outfitted with pockets, compartments, and accessories to help make the most out of your project. We've also included yarn cutters and yarn feeders to help you out on your fiber-filled journey. The accents are made from genuine leather and antique brass to give each bag a unique, vintage feel while remaining new and fresh!

Every della Q Maker's Bag comes in a biodegradable fiber pouch, lessening the impact on the environment in the process!

With our other collections, such as the ever-popular Cotton Print Collection and new Linen Flower Collection, we've mindfully sourced our fabrics using remnants from the fashion industry, finding gems in the way of gorgeous patterns that pair well together. This way, we've made the most out of upcycling these fabrics. This process makes each bag unique while reducing global fabric waste!

Malabrigo is another company we look up to when it comes to giving back. Building on the idea of empowering women, especially those who have fewer opportunities, the people at Malabrigo pride themselves on offering jobs to women of all ages and backgrounds.

Malabrigo has a big heart not only for their employees, but for the products they sell as well - all the way from how they dye yarn to the sheep they get their fibers from! They can safely say that all of the wool produced in Uruguay is mulesing-free, which defi-knit-ely gets a thumbs up in our books (and their sheep's books as well)!

As the years slip by, we've grown more mindful about the things we consume - whether through media, products, or nourishment, we've learned that our decisions have an impact. The Beans have started growing their own food, creating compost bins, and recycling. A few of us have stopped buying into fast fashion in pursuit of a slower, more sustainable way of living and it's made us learn through trial and error just how hard being mindful can be.

One of our favorite things is just how many yarns we use for our hobby that are crafted from recycled parts. Blending things like broken down water bottles into our wool while still keeping it soft and pliable is a process we can't even begin to understand when it comes to the time spent and man-power behind it!

Cascade ReVerb yarn is one of these treasures we hold dear to our hearts, made out of 70% polyester from recycled water bottles blended with ultra-soft alpaca. This beautiful yarn is available in a muted palette of springy shades! This way of giving back helps keep plastic out of landfills and snuggled up into our project bags. Wanna know the best part? Knitted Knockers is an organization that helps those who have undergone mastectomies feel more at home in their body by providing soft, lightweight, knitted prostheses. Survivors of breast cancer utilize this service to feel comfortable and forego any heavy, uncomfortable prostheses in the process. And the best part? These knitted prostheses are handcrafted by people like you - each project was made by knitters with a love for giving back and helping those in need.
